The term Pharmacovigilance refers to all the activities necessary for the identification and management of suspected adverse reactions observed during the use of a drug.

The main goal of pharmacovigilance is to protect the patient from the risks that can be linked to therapy, as well as constantly redefining and ever more accurately the safety profile of medicines.

Pharmacovigilance is configured, then, as an essential activity to learn more about the drugs, properly inform the doctors who prescribe them and protect patients who take them, ensuring the safety of use over time.
